10 Thing Happy Couples Do..
Tuesday, October 6, 2009
Happy couples know that the real relationship begins when the honeymoon is over. They know that unless you maintain the garden of love, its beauty will wither and die. Now discover the 10 things that happy couples do:
1. Go to bed at the same time. Remember the beginning of your relationship, when you couldn't wait to go to bed with each other to make love? Happy couples resist the temptation to go to bed at different times. They go to bed at the same time, even if one partner wakes up later to do things while their partner sleeps.
2. Cultivate common interests. After the passion settles down, it's common to realize that you have few interests in common. But don't minimize the importance of activities you can do together that you both enjoy. If common interests are not present, happy couples develop them. At the same time, be sure to cultivate interests of your own; this will make you more interesting to your mate and prevent you from appearing too dependent.
3. Walk hand in hand or side by side. Rather than one partner lagging or dragging behind the other, happy couples walk comfortably hand in hand or side by side. They know it's more important to be with their partner than to see the sights along the way.
4. Make trust and forgiveness your default mode. If and when they have a disagreement or argument, and if they can't resolve it, happy couples default to trusting and forgiving rather than distrusting and begrudging.
5. Focus more on what your partner does right than what he or she does wrong. If you look for things your partner does wrong, you can always find something. If you look for what he or she does right, you can always find something, too. It all depends on what you want to look for. Happy couples accentuate the positive.
6. Hug each other as soon as you see each other after work. Our skin has a memory of "good touch" (loved), "bad touch" (abused) and "no touch" (neglected). Couples who say hello with a hug keep their skin bathed in the "good touch," which can inoculate your spirit against anonymity in the world.
7. Say "I love you" and "Have a good day" every morning. This is a great way to buy some patience and tolerance as each partner sets out each day to battle traffic jams, long lines and other annoyances.
8. Say "Good night" every night, regardless of how you feel. This tells your partner that, regardless of how upset you are with him or her, you still want to be in the relationship. It says that what you and your partner have is bigger than any single upsetting incident.
9. Do a "weather" check during the day. Call your partner at home or at work to see how his or her day is going. This is a great way to adjust expectations so that you're more in sync when you connect after work. For instance, if your partner is having an awful day, it might be unreasonable to expect him or her to be enthusiastic about something good that happened to you.
10. Be proud to be seen with your partner. Happy couples are pleased to be seen together and are often in some kind of affectionate contact -- hand on hand or hand on shoulder or knee or back of neck. They are not showing off but rather just saying that they belong with each other.
Even if these actions don't come naturally, happy couples stick with them until they do become a part of their relationship. They know that it takes 30 days for a change in behavior to become a habit, and a minimum of six months for a habit to become a way of life and love.By,

French Women's Slimming Tips
Wednesday, September 30, 2009
Here are a few French tips on how to
stay fit without ever setting foot in la gym.1.)
Don’t save your steps, multiply them! Instead of driving your car around in circles to find a close spot, purposefully park far away and walk the couple extra feet. Do you know burning a mere 50 extra calories a day equates to five pounds a year?! Burn those calories creatively; think thrice about using interoffice mail, walk that memo to your coworker’s office. Take an extra few laps around the block at lunchtime, take the long way home when walking your dog at night. The principle is to squeeze as much physical exertion as possible during a few intervals a day into what were once routine tasks tied to avoiding any physical efforts.
2.)
Incorporate simple resistance movements into your daily routine. Use your own body weight as resistance wherever possible. Isometric exercises, discreet but effective, are very French. This can be done before you even leave the house in the morning. For example, while waiting in traffic or on the subway, contract your abs for 12 seconds with your back pressed against the seat (it’s better for you than road rage). When reading a magazine at home, try sitting on the floor with your legs stretched and apart in a V and your hands on each side; this is a great stretch for your inner thigh muscles.
3.)
Take care of your core. I’m a firm believer that we need to attend to our abdominals as we age. These are the muscles that hold all our vital organs in place; they support good posture and a healthy spine, something we must take care of as we get older. Do a few sit-ups as part of a little stretch/exercise/yoga routine in the morning — it’s never too early or too late to start this ritual.
4.)
Acquaint yourself with small to moderate free weights (3-5 lbs.), especially if you’re over 40. A bit of extremely simple resistance training is an antidote to hours spent on gym machines. Short but focused movement with small weights is a good way to preserve upper body tone and bone density and supplement the cardiovascular benefits of an active lifestyle. A little goes a long way, and that only increases the older you get, so don’t let extremism overtake you.
5.)
Get en vélo. Americans tend to see bicycling as recreation, and often either as a child’s pastime or a hobby for only the most serious triathletes. But French and European women see cycling as a mode of transportation. I encourage those who can bike to work or shopping to do so. One of my pleasures in Provence is taking my bike to run errands. Riding my bike is one of my favorite warm weather routines and is, of course, environmentally clean and efficient, so I am happy to see bikes and bike lanes increasing in New York and other cities. Cycling has well-known health benefits: it’s a low-impact, mild aerobic exercise that strengthens your heart and lungs; tones the large (read: fat-burning) muscle groups; keeps joints, tendons and ligaments flexible; builds stamina; and is generally fun, reducing stress and boosting your mood. And the view from a real bicycle ride beats the view from a stationary bike in a white-walled gym any day of the week
6.)
Yoga. If there was ever a fountain of youth, it might be the practice of yoga. Not only does it reduce stress, improve your posture and help to develop longer, leaner limbs, it also speeds up your metabolism, works nearly every muscle group and promotes an overall bodily wellness that no other sport or class can compete with. I practice yoga religiously, usually in the comfort of my own home. I am no yogi; I do not spend hours upon end on my head — I simply have a handful of mastered poses and movements that make me feel good and keep me limber and trim. Most women can find 20-30 minutes a day to practice if they make it a priority. No equipment necessary.
7.)
Vive l’escalier! Taking the stairs whenever possible is one of the main tenets of my philosophy. It always astounds me to see people who live no higher than the fourth floor and with nothing more to carry than themselves taking the elevator. In France, walking up and down stairs is a perfunctory part of our day. We rarely spend an hour stair climbing, but you should know that climbing stairs burns a stunning 1100 calories per hour. Climbing a couple flights a day will surely go a long way. A few times a week I choose to walk up the 15 flights of stairs to my apartment for some healthy fun — and yes, I do enjoy it.

8 Info Kesihatan Buat Lelaki
Thursday, September 10, 2009
5. Berlari 8 jam seminggu elak kanser prostat
Selain itu, tahap kesuburan lelaki yang memasuki umur 40-an menurun akibat penuaan menyebabkan mereka seperti wanita berisiko mendapat zuriat terencat seperti Sindrom Down.
8. Makanan laut tingkatkan kualiti sperma
Ingin tingkatkan kualiti sperma?

Do U Eat Petai?
Monday, June 22, 2009
I've found this article from my old email to be shared, tak kira ada yang pernah baca this article atau tak.
Petai Parkia JavanicaLittle did you know …… after reading THIS, you’ll NEVER look at petai in the same way again!
Petai contains three natural sugars -sucrose, fructose and glucose. Combined with fiber, petai gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two servings of petai provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute wor kout. No wonder petai is the number one fruit with the world’s leading athletes. But energy isn’t the only way petai can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
Depression:According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating petai. This is because petai contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS(premenstrual syndrome):Forget the pills – eat petai. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
Anemia:High in iron, petai can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
Blood Pressure:This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure. So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the petai industry to make official claims for the fruit’s ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
Brain Power:200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school were helped through their exams this year by eating petai at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert. Understand that bananas contain lot of potassium too so eat more banana. Just look at those monkeys, they are really active, alert, smart and cunning too!!
Constipation:High in fiber, including petai in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Hangovers:One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a petai milkshake, sweetened with honey. The petai calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
Heartburn:Petai has a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating petai for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness:Snacking on petai between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
Mosquito bites:Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of the petai skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
Nerves:Petai is high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system.
Overweight:Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report c oncluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
Ulcers:Petai is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control:Many other cultures see petai as a ‘cooling’ fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In hoiland, for example, pregnant women eat petai to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD):Petai can help SAD sufferers because they contain the natural mood enhancer, tryptophan.
Smoking:Petai can also help people trying to give up smoking. The B6, B12 they contain, as well as the potassium and magnesium found in them, help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.
Stress:Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your body’s water balance. When we are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby reducing our potassium levels. These can be rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium petai snack.
Strokes:According to research in ‘The New England Journal of Medicine,’ eating petai as part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by strokes by as much as 40%’.
Warts:Those keen on natural alternatives swear that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of petai and place it on the wart. Carefully hold the petai in place with a plaster or surgical tape!
So, as you can see, petai really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrates, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around. So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, ‘A Petai a day keeps the doctor away’.

Warghh..tajuk bukan main...Actually ni pasal i yang confused. Ke'confuse'san yang dah berbulan2 antara I and one of my colleage berakhir hari ni.. hehehe..bukan pasal ape pun. It s only because of this pokok yang bernama merunggai (nama ni yang pernah i sendiri dengar masa kat ipoh). So bila I check kat tenet ni, ade lagi nama lain.. Kelor, munggai, berunggai,...banyak lagi kot.. In english plak Malunggay..uishh.. And scientific name is Moringa oleifera.

Biji benih pokok kelor ni. (aritu dah bawa balik tanam kat kampung mertua)
Sebenarnya yang jadi confuse sebab orang tu cakap pokok tu nama Turi. Tapi bila I check pasal pokok Turi tu, rupanya lain. Nama scientific Sesbania grandiflora syn. Aeschynomene grandiflora. Oh yeahhhh...I menang lagi perang mulut..hehehe..

Poko Turi (Sesbania grandiflora syn. Aeschynomene grandiflora)
Bijinya memang lain and bunga dia pun amat berbeza dari pokok kelor tu. PokokTuri ni banyak orang guna untuk masak, contohnya masak lemak, masak sayur pedas. Daunnya memang berbeza sebab daun Turi ni lebih lebar nak berbanding daun berunggai tu lebih bulat sedikit.
Bercakap pasal berunggai ni, kalau kat pasar tani tu kadang-kadang ada jual biji dia yang panjang tu. Orang india suka letak dalam masakan kari. macam i plak, masa kecik-kecik dulu my mum suka masak sayur pedas letak daun nya. memang sodappp..

(source :http://www.delange.org/Moringa/Moringa.htm)

Siap orang jadikan Mallunggay Spread lagi. Sure sedap.. Erm..kesimpulannya memang tak sia-sia I balik tanam banyak2 kat kampung aritu. Oh yeah.!!! nak tau banyak lagi pasal merunggai, boleh la klik

Do not Re-use Mineral Water Bottles!
Friday, June 5, 2009
Many are unaware of poisoning caused by re-using plastic bottles.
Some of you may be in the habit of using and re-using your disposable mineral water bottles (eg. Nestle, Bisleri, Aquafina,Kinley, Evian, etc…), keeping them in your car or at work, Not a good idea.
It happened in Dubai, when a 12 year old girl died after a long usage (16 months) of SAFA mineral water bottle, as she used to carry the same fancy (painted by herself) bottle to her school daily.
In a nutshell, the plastic (called polyethylene terephthalate or PET) used in these bottles contains a potentially carcinogenic element (something called diethylhydroxylamine or DEHA). The bottles are safe for one-time use only; if you must keep them longer, it should be or no more than a few days, week max, and keep them away from heat as well, Repeated washing and rinsing can cause the plastic to break down and the carcinogens (cancer-causing chemical agents) can leak into the water that YOU are drinking. Better to invest in water bottles that are really meant for multiple uses.
This is not something we hould be scrimping on. Those of you with family - do please advise them, especially children. Please forward this informatoin.
Prevention is better than cure.
How to Avoid:
Check on the bottom of the bottle there is a triangle sign and there will be a number on it.
If the number is higher than or equal to 5, then the bottle is safe to use.
Whatever number under 5, will release the chemical. For most bottle water, the number is 1.
Did you know chimical released by platic water bottles can cause cancer.
(it is not the water thats affecting you but the chimical releasing from the bottle)
Pass this to all your friends and also make them aware of it.

I’ve got this pic from someone via email, and I think and hope it will be useful to anybody yang masuk to my blog ni. So, click to the pic to enlarge.
And here ada skit lagi nak share . Also got this info from email. Very useful. Bab-bab nak jaga kesihatan. Like myself pun banyak benda yang terlupa dalam hal penjagaan kesihatan sendiri. At least ni boleh ingatkan diri sendiri.
7 Don's After A Meal
- Don't smoke-Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).
- Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.
- Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.
- Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted &blocked.
- Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.
- Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
- Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

Petua-Petua Menghadapi Pertengkaran Suami Isteri
Monday, June 1, 2009
- Jika terjadi pertengkaran, maka janganlah mencari kelemahan pasangan kita.
- Batasi kekasaran jika berlaku pertengkaran.
Bahkan ia merugikan hubungan suami isteri.
